Update: No Period Yet

Hi All. So it's been about 3 1/2 weeks since I had my IUD removed. So in my last entry I thought my period was starting. It did not I had bleeding for 2 full days and then nothing. I have been having over the last few days a lot of mucus discharge (that seems familiar to me, I think it's the normal stuff you get near the time of ovulation). I have also been having some cramps. So I might be ovulating and maybe I should expect my period in like two weeks. That would put me at about 6 weeks post removal and that's about how long the nurse pract. said it would be before I got my period.

So far I have to say the mood swings and crying are still there every once in a while and they don't last nearly as long. I also haven't gotten that deep terrible feeling that my life sucks and it will never get better. I normally get most of my emotional side effects right before my period starts so we will see what happens.

I am happy to report my sex drive is starting to rev up. Before having the my IUD put in I had a pretty healthy sex drive. After I had it put in it really went downhill. My husband was very excited about this.

My biggest problem so far is that I'm still not loosing much weight. Maybe 3lbs since I had it out and I'm eating healthy and exercising almost every night. This really gets me down. I keep telling myself it took me almost a year to put all this weight on and the hormones are not out of my system yet. I try to think of it like this. My hormone levels are so out of wack and I just need to keep doing what I'm doing and eventually it's going to pay off. I have to say my husband has been really great. Tells me all the time I look great and he is working out with me and always encouraging me.
